The UK Israel Tech Hub and Department of International Trade (DIT) at the British Embassy Israel, together with the British Embassy Athens are seeking leading Israeli startups focused on Zero Carbon Automotive Innovation. This is a unique opportunity to join an immersive 2-day delegation to the Midlands –  UK’s transport Capital.

Why the Midlands?

• The West Midlands is the UK’s epicentre for the manufacture of transport equipment across automotive, rail and aerospace sectors.
• All these areas are rapidly evolving electrification solutions and innovations throughout the whole transportation market and supply chain.
• This substantial cluster of OEMs has established a network of Tier 1 to Tier 4 manufacturers specialising in powertrain and battery propulsion.

• Opportunities exist throughout the supply chain for businesses of all sizes to access these high-profile OEMs driven by the region’s growing capabilities as the UK’s leading centre for automotive innovation and production.

Who Should Apply?

          Companies offering the following solutions:

• New battery chemistries for electric vehicles

• Efficient battery cell/module/pack design

• Smart charging (i.e. load balancing) mechanisms, both digital (e.g. platforms) as well as mechanical

• High-power charging solution for heavy goods vehicles

• Cost-efficient electrolysis technology

• EV fleet optimisation software

• Zero/ low emission vehicles

The programme is designed to foster business partnerships, market access and co-investment. It includes site visits to the UKBIC, University of Warwick and The Faraday Institution. 

The Embassies will cover 3 nights accommodation for successful applicants. Participants will need to book and cover expenses for their own flights.
