Dr. Charlie Davie of the NHS at OurCrowd summit

Dr. Charlie Davie – the head of UCLPartners, the NHS’s NIA accelerator and board member of Digital Health London – will visit Israel to take part in the 2017 OurCrowd Global Investor Summitand meet some of Israel’s most promising MediTech startups.

He will take part in a conference panel on 16 February on the topic of “Digital Health: Empowering Individuals and Disrupting an Industry”. Other participators at the panel are Clive Kaye, managing director of Janssen Israel (moderator); Joe Powers, head of commercialization at Johns Hopkins University; Dr Ryan Noach, deputy CEO of Discovery Health from South Africa; and Anya Eldan of Israel Innovation Authority’s GM Startup Division.

Dr. Davie will be speaking about how he perceives the challenges faced by the shift to patient centered care in the UK healthcare system, especially the patient experience, healthcare economics (finding digital health solutions which can save costs) and the behavioral change that is needed. He will also discuss how these topics all tie into digital innovation.
