About This Event

The British Embassy Israel, in partnership with Fintech Ladies IL, Tech Nation, L39 and Shoosmiths LLP, are excited to invite you to our second virtual UK-Israel Female Founder Office Hours!

This event is part of the Embassy’s UK-Israel Women Leading Innovation initiative, and is focused on easing the barriers of creating a supportive network for female founders of Fintech/Cyber startups by facilitating 1:1 virtual mentoring meetings between a select group of UK and Israel female founders and leading stakeholders in the sector.

How Does It Work:

Founders will have a chance to meet with 1-3 of their preferred mentors during the event. Each meeting will last approx. 20-30 mins and provide a unique opportunity for female founders to engage with mentors in an open 1:1 conversation, gaining valuable insights and advice. This is not a pitch session, instead, mentors will receive all decks prior to the event and founders are encouraged to come with a set of strategic questions for the mentors they will meet.

Participating Mentors Include:
  • Galia Beer-Gabel – VP of Business Development and Operations, Team8.
  • Moran Levinovitz – Investment Director, HSBC: Strategic Innovation Investments.
  • Sonal Lakhani – Global Head of Programmes and Strategic Initiatives, Barclay’s Innovation.
  • Sia Houchangnia – Partner, Seedcamp.
  • Keren Ran – Industry Head: Fintech, Google Israel.
The event includes an introductory lecture about opportunities for Female Founders by Financial Conduct Authority’s Francesca Hopwood Road, Head of RegTech and Advanced Analytics.
Who Should Apply:
  • Female Founders/C-Level Execs of Fintech/Cyber startups.
  • Startups/founders must be based in the UK or Israel.
  • All stages welcome to apply.
