This July we had the honour of introducing the new British Ambassador to Israel Neil Wigan to our vibrant tech community. At a lovely reception on a Tel Avivian rooftop we brought together over a 100 of our closest friends and partners, and launched our bran new website.
We gathered friends and partners from all sectors and fields to share ideas, connect and strengthen our community in a great atmosphere and a cold glass of British beer.
“It’s amazing to see how strong and deep our tech and innovation ties have become and it’s exciting to see the endless possibilities they hold”, said the Ambassador. “This event is also a great opportunity for me to meet you all: Start Up Nation”.
The Ambassador also mentioned Brexit: “there is no question that Brexit will mean some very big changes for the UK”, he said. “Two things are not going to change: The strong desire on the British Government’s part to continue building a strong, deep and modern partnership with Israel; and the determination of British businesses to do more with Israel.”
The Ambassador specified three of the Tech Hub’s most acknowledged initiatives:
The ArabTech Port – an online platform that aims to accelerate entrepreneurship in the Arab community in Israel
UK landing pad – a new Hub’s initiative that is established these days in London to be the new path to streamline Israeli innovation into UK market.
The Hub’s brand new website – “I encourage you all to stay tuned and hear about the different opportunities for you to engage with us and walk through the doors we hope to be opening for you in the UK”, said the Ambassador.
